Pursuant to section 234 of the Copyright Act 1994, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following regulations.
REGULATIONS
1. Title and commencement-
(1) These regulations may be cited as the Copyright (General Matters) Regulations 1995, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Copyright (General Matters) Regulations 1995* (in these regulations referred to as the principal regulations).
(2) These regulations shall come into force on the 21st day of October 1996.
2. Prescribed bodies for purposes of section 69 of Act-Regulation 5 of the principal regulations is hereby amended by revoking paragraphs (a) and (b), and substituting the following paragraphs:
"(a) The Christian Ministries with Disabled Trust, a trust incorporated under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957:
"(b) New Zealand Radio for the Print Disabled Incorporated, a society incorporated under the Incorporated Societies Act 1908:
"(c) The Royal New Zealand Foundation for the Blind constituted under the Royal New Zealand Foundation for the Blind Act 1963:
"(d) The University of Auckland constituted under the University of Auckland Act 1961:
"(e) The Wellington Braille Club Incorporated, a society incorporated under the Incorporated Societies Act 1908."

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 21 October 1996, and 3 bodies to those already declared to be prescribed bodies for the purposes of section 69 of the Copyright Act 1994. Section 69 allows a prescribed body, if the statutory conditions are met, to make copies of published literary or dramatic works for the purpose of providing persons who have a print disability with copies that are in Braille or otherwise modified for their special needs, without infringing copyright in those literary or dramatic works. The newly added bodies are New Zealand Radio for the Print Disabled Incorporated, University of Auckland, and Wellington Braille Club Incorporated.
