The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the receipt, on April 8, 1994, of the notification of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, dated March 29, 1994, stating an extension of the list of kinds of microorganisms accepted, for deposit, by the National Collection of Food Bacteria (NCFB), an international depositary authority under the Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure, done at Budapest on April 28, 1977, as amended on September 26, 1980 (see Budapest Notification No. 86 of February 5, 1990). The text of that notification is attached.
The list so extended of the kinds of microorganisms accepted, for deposit, by the National Collection of Food Bacteria (NCFB), as well as the fees relating thereto, will be published in the May 1994 issue of Industrial Property/La Propriété industrielle.
The extended list will take effect as from the date (May 31, 1994) of that publication.

Text of the Notification of the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland of March 29, 1994, Relating to an Extension of the List of Kinds of Microorganisms Accepted for Deposit, by the National Collection of Food Bacteria (NCFB)

NOTIFICATION
In accordance with Rule 3.3 of the Regulations under the Budapest Treaty, the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland hereby notify you that the National Collection of Dairy Organisms (NCDO) has been incorporated into the National Collection of Food Bacteria (NCFB) (Early Gate, Whiteknights Road, Reading, Berkshire RG6 2EF), who will carry out the functions of the former organisation. As a consequence, the kinds of microorganisms accepted for deposit by the NCFB are the following: bacteria (including actinomycetes), plasmids (including recombinants), bacteriophages and bacteria of milk and milk products.
In accordance with Rule 12.2 of the Regulations under the Treaty, the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland hereby notify you that the fees to be charged by the NCFB with regard to the items indicated will be as follows:
