The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and, in accordance with the provisions of the above international instrument, adopted at Stockholm, has the honor to notify him of the notification deposited by the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia in which that Government indicates its desire to avail itself of the provisions of Article 21(2) of the Convention.
This notification entered into force on the date of its receipt, that is, on September 21, 1971.
Pursuant to the said Article, the Commonwealth of Australia, which is a member of the Paris Union and of the Berne Union but has not yet become party to the WIPO Convention, may, for five years from April 26, 1970, the date of entry into force of the said Convention, exercise the same rights as if it had become party.
