The IP Moot competition offers young aspiring lawyers, university students, and IP law enthusiasts the chance to put into practice their knowledge of national and international IP law through an interactive simulation of IP dispute adjudication.

The international competition is gathering up to sixteen teams from universities and WIPO distance learning students across the globe. Through a series of rounds spanning several months, participants will be asked to analyze a hypothetical moot problem set by IP experts, prepare a written submission, and present their arguments in a thrilling final oral round taking place in person at WIPO’s headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. In this truly international setting, participants will be able to network with seasoned IP lawyers, judges, and practitioners while building their confidence, developing and refining their skills in legal writing, legal analysis, researching, and oral advocacy.

With this IP Moot competition, WIPO seeks to develop an international community of like-minded students, young professionals and experts who have the propensity to take on a career in IP law.Keep an eye out for more details on this website as the competition unravels!
