Helping businesses in ASEAN protect their brands, inventions and designs overseas

The WIPO Singapore Office serves the ASEAN region by raising awareness of the importance of IP in business success, and promoting its use a driver of economic, social and cultural growth. The Office achieves this by collaborating with a range of stakeholders including SME associations, chambers of commerce, IP associations, and IP offices in the organization of promotional activities, training and capacity building projects.

With a focus on SMEs, women and the youth sector, the WIPO Singapore Office provides practical information to help people in ASEAN to use WIPO’s services to protect their IP around the world.

More broadly, the WSO aims to increase innovation and creativity in the ASEAN region by promoting the benefits of all WIPO services such as the PCT System (for international invention protection) and the Hague System (for overseas protection of designs), as well as Madrid System (for protection of brands and trademarks all around the world). By doing this we play a role in the economic, social and cultural development of the region.

The WSO works collaboratively with a range of organizations including chambers of commerce and industry, intellectual property (IP) offices, IP associations and universities to raise awareness and use of the international IP systems.
