NEW updated .DO Policy and Rules for Dominican Republic (effective as of May 24, 2024) where the requirement to send hard copies by the parties is removed, turning into a 100% electronic proceeding. Since 2006, the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center (the "WIPO Center") has collaborated with Registry .DO as a provider of dispute resolution services for domain names registered under .DO.
Thus, as a result of the experience and collaboration between Registry .DO and the WIPO Center, the Política, the Reglamento and the Reglamento Adicional de la OMPI for .DO have been modified, updating them so that the procedure does not require the parties to send hard copies of their pleadings and annexes. This update results on a greater efficiency in the procedures, therefore reducing the costs for the parties as well as the environmental impact.
