The resources below are provided for patent applicants who work with sequence listings. WIPO Standard ST.26 establishes uniform requirements for disclosing nucleotide and/or amino acids sequences in patent applications, applicable at the international, regional and national levels.
Patent applications that disclose nucleotide or amino acid information filed on or after July 1, 2022 must contain a sequence listing compliant with this Standard. WIPO publishes a free desktop application, WIPO Sequence, to support applicants generate sequence listings compliant with the Standard. This application was developed in collaboration with patent offices around the world, under the direction of the Committee on WIPO Standards.
