First workshop organized under the WIPO Effective SME intermediary Program underway within the Cameroon Chamber of Commerce (CCIMA). The “From Idea to Action” program is a workshop organized in Douala on September 26 and 27, 2024, focused on entrepreneurial strategies and intellectual property (IP) protection. Its objective is to help entrepreneurs develop profitable projects while integrating IP into their business strategies as they seek to reach new markets. The first day focused on the practical aspects of business development, such as creating business models, financial analysis and digital marketing. The second day focused on the importance of IP, with case studies, protection strategies and the development of personalized action plans for the management of intangible assets. CCIMA staff will participate to deepen their knowledge of IP and train in the provision of preliminary IP advice and the establishment of an effective IP dedicated unit.
