The objective of this webinar is to shed light on accessibility metadata. The publishing industry embeds accessibility metadata in e-books and other online publications to describe the features that facilitate the reading experience for people who are blind, have low vision or are otherwise print disabled. Four speakers will share their perspectives on how accessibility is being defined in international e-publishing standards, how metadata is embedded in publications, how libraries are using metadata to improve service to their users that are print disabled, and how these readers benefit from accessibility metadata.

This webinar will present rights data management in the audiovisual sector, including the International Documentation on Audiovisual works (IDA). IDA index is an international centralized database facilitating the identification of audiovisual works and rights holders. The purpose of IDA is to simplify the identification of audiovisual works on an internationally integrated basis and improve cross-border information exchanges by a local member CMO. IDA is a tool developed by the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC), and managed by one of the CISAC member French CMOs, Société des Auteurs et Compositeurs Dramatiques (SACD).
