We are excited to announce that nearly 23,000 full-text documents of the Philippines patent collection are now available and searchable in PATENTSCOPE, the WIPO's global patent database. These full-text documents were obtained by OCR (Optical Character Recognition).
Enabling for the first-time free-of-charge public access to fully searchable patent documents of the Philippines is a positive step towards promoting innovation and economic growth in the country. Furthermore, the availability of these documents will also benefit the Philippines patent office by providing a valuable resource for conducting prior art searches, both for national patent applications and international patent applications under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).
We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Funds-In-Trust Japan Industrial Property Global (FIT/Japan IP Global) for its generous support in making this project a reality.
We encourage everyone to explore the newly added full-text documents on PATENTSCOPE and take advantage of the valuable insights they offer. Our goal is to continue to expand and improve our datasbase to support innovation and contribute to the growth of the global economy.
