Artikel 59
Beilegung von Streitigkeiten

Vorbehaltlich des Artikels 64 Absatz 5 kann jede Streitigkeit zwischen zwei oder mehreren Vertragsstaaten über die Auslegung oder die Anwendung des Vertrags oder der Ausführungsordnung, die nicht auf dem Verhandlungsweg beigelegt wird, von jedem beteiligten Staat durch eine Klage, die gemäß dem Statut des Internationalen Gerichtshofs zu erheben ist, vor den Internationalen Gerichtshof gebracht werden, sofern die beteiligten Staaten nicht eine andere Regelung vereinbaren. Der Vertragsstaat, der die Streitigkeit vor den Internationalen Gerichtshof bringt, hat dies dem Internationalen Büro mitzuteilen; dieses setzt die anderen Vertragsstaaten davon in Kenntnis.
