This API Catalog facilitates users of Intellectual Property (IP) data and information to access IP Institutions' APIs for patents, trademarks, industrial designs, copyright, geographical indications, plant variety protection, and Integrated Circuit Layout Design.
How APIs are shown
By default, APIs are listed in alphabetical order by the name of the API. These are shown as search results on the lower part of the page as shown below. Each result provides basic details of the API.
As you use the search and filter options, the list of APIs will dynamically change to match your selection.
How to search for APIs
There are two ways to locate APIs you may be interested in:
You can use the keyword search or browse by filters separately, or use both methods together for reducing the number of results.
When you discover an API that you would like to know more about, click on its title to go to the website that hosts the API.
Note: Only use the keyword search if you know the exact name of the API that you are looking for, or if you are looking for something very specific. Using keywords may unnecessarily restrict the results. For example, some APIs allow access to a combination of patent, trademark, and industrial design databases and have a title such as “Bulk Search” API. Using the IP Domain filter will locate this API.
