The Director, of the United International Bureaux for the Protection of Intellectual Property (BIRPI) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and, in accordance with the provisions of the Stockholm Act of the above Convention, has the honor to notify him that the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden deposited on August 12, 1969, its instrument of ratification dated June 27, 1969, of the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works of September 9, 1886, as revised at Stockholm on July 14, 1967, with the exception of Articles 1 to 20 and with the declaration provided for in Article 5(1)(b) of the Protocol Regarding Developing Countries to the effect that Sweden admits the application of the provisions of the said Protocol to works of which it is the country of origin by countries which, on becoming bound by Articles 1 to 21 of the Stockholm Act of the said Convention and by the Protocol, or on making a declaration of application of the Protocol by virtue of the provision of its Article 5(1)(a), have made reservations permitted under the Protocol.
A separate notification will be made of the entry into force of the Stockholm Act of the said Convention when the required number of ratifications or accessions is reached.
