The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and, in accordance with the provisions of the Paris Act (1971) of the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works of September 9, 1886, has the honor to notify him that the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands deposited, on October 9, 1974, its instrument of ratification, for the Kingdom in Europe, Suriname and the Netherlands Antilles, of the said Convention, as revised at Paris on July 24, 1971, with the declaration provided for in Article 28(1)(b) of the said Act to the effect that this ratification shall not apply to Articles 1 to 21 and the Appendix.
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 28(3) of the Paris Act (1971) of the said Convention, Articles 22 to 38 will enter into force, with respect to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, three months after the date of this notification, that is, on January 10, 1975.
