The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the deposit by the Government of the People's Republic of Benin, on October 2, 1986, of its instrument of accession to the Hague Agreement Concerning the International Deposit of Industrial Designs of November 6, 1925, as revised at London on June 2, 1934 ("London Act (1934)"), to the said Agreement revised at The Hague on November 28, 1960 ("the Hague Act (1960)"), and to the Complementary Act of Stockholm of July 14, 1967 of the said Agreement ("Stockholm (Complementary) Act (1967)").
The People's Republic of Benin has not heretofore been a member of the Union for the International Deposit of Industrial Designs ("Hague Union"), founded by the Hague Agreement.
The People's Republic of Benin will become a member of the Hague Union, and the London Act (1934) and the Hague Act (1960) will enter into force, in respect of that State, one month after the date of the present notification, that is, on November 2, 1986, whereas the Stockholm (Complementary) Act (1967) will enter into force, with respect to the said State, three months after the date of the present notification, that is, on January 2, 1987.
