The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the deposit by the Government of the French Republic, on January 18, 1980, of its instrument of ratification of the Nice Agreement Concerning the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks of June 15, 1957, as revised at Stockholm on July 14, 1967, and at Geneva on May 13, 1977.
The said instrument contains the following declaration: "Referring to Article 13 of the Act, the Government of France declares that the Act is applicable to the territory of the French Republic, including the Overseas Departments and Territories." (Translation)
The Geneva Act (1977) of the said Agreement will enter into force, with respect to the French Republic, three months after the date of this notification, that is, on April 22, 1980.
