Declaration made upon ratification of the Stockholm Act: "The Government of the Republic of Cuba declares that the provisions of Article 14 of the Lisbon Agreement which refer to Article 24 of the Paris Convention, both revised at Stockholm, are contrary to the Declaration on the grant of independence to colonial countries and people (Resolution 1514 adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations on December 14, 1960), in which is stressed the need to bring an end rapidly and unconditionally to colonialism in all its forms and manifestations."
