Details Details Year of Version 1999 Dates Issued: July 20, 1999 Type of Text Implementing Rules/Regulations Subject Matter Trademarks, Trade Names Notes The Notice, which was made by the Federal Ministry of Justice pursuant to Sections 8(2)(7) of the Law on the Protection of Trade Marks and other Signs, provides the exclusion from registration as trademarks of official certification marks or hallmarks of States.

The Notice provides that the trade marks which contain the official signs and hallmarks indicating control and warranty adopted by the Kingdom of Maroc, and the official hallmarks of the Republic of Cuba for Rhum (e.g. 'Cuban Formula Rhum') shall be excluded from registration.

Auf Grund des § 8 Abs. 2 Nr. 7 des Markengesetzes vom 25. Oktober 1994 (BGBl. I S.
3082, 1995 I S. 156) wird bekanntgemacht, daß die folgenden Prüf- und Gewährzeichen von
der Eintragung als Marke ausgeschlossen sind:

  1. Prüf- und Gewährzeichen des Königreichs Marokko (Anlage 1)
  2. Gewährzeichen der Republik Kuba für Rum (Anlage 2)
    Diese Bekanntmachung ergeht im Anschluß an die Bekanntmachung vom 14. April 1999 (BGBl.

I S. 767).
