REGISTERED DESIGNS ORDINANCE (AMENDMENT
OF SCHEDULE) REGULATION 2005

(Made by the Chief Executivein Council under section 83 of the
Registered Designs Ordinance (Cap. 522))'

1. CO!J1-.mencement

This Regulation shall COIne into operation on 17 February 2006.

2. Paris Convention Countries and WTO Members

(1)

The Schedule to the Registered Designs Ordinance (Cap. 522) is amended in the list under the heading "Countries which have acceded to the Paris Convention"

(a)

by repealing "The Federal Republic ofYugoslavia";

(b)

by adding "Serbia and Montenegro".

(2)

The Schedule is amended in the list under the heading "Countries which have acceded to' the Paris Convention" by ,repealing "~m~pg 2;t5fQ II" and substituting " Nm~r7g2jt.fQ ~".

(3)

The Schedule is amended in the list under the heading "Countries which have acceded to the Paris Convention"

(a)

by repealing "~r7g2tt~jt.fQlI"; .

(b)

by adding "~ r7g5lt~~jt.fQ ~".

The Schedule is amended in the list under the heading "Countries which have acceded to the Paris Convention't-s

(a) by repealing "~r7g2;ftfQ~~'; (b) by adding "~r7g 5l;ftfQ II".

The Schedule is amended in the list under the heading "Countries which have acceded to the Paris Convention" by adding

(a)

"The Principality of Andorra";

(b)

"Union of the Comoros";

(c)

"The Republic of Namibia";

(d)

"The Islamic Republic of Pakistan";

(e)

"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia";
if) "The Republic of Seychelles".

(6) The Schedule is amended in the list under the heading "Countries, territories and areas which have acceded to the World Trade Organization Agreement (not including countries which have acceded to the Paris Convention)" by repealing

(a)

"The Republic of Namibia";
