The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 152 (5) of the Industrial and Commercial Property (Protection) Act, 1927 (No. 16 of 1927), as amended by section 8 of the Trade Marks Act, 1963 (No. 9 of 1963), and section 5 of the Patents Act, 1964 (No. 12 of 1964), and adapted by section 22 of the Executive Powers (Consequential Provisions) Act, 1937 (No. 20 of 1937), and to fulfil an arrangement with the Government of India concerning the protection of designs, hereby order as follows:
1. This Order may be cited as the Industrial and Commercial Property (Protection) Act, 1927 (Section 152) (Declaration) Order, 1976.
2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.
3. It is hereby declared that the provisions of section 152 of the Industrial and Commercial Property (Protection) Act, 1927 (No. 16 of 1927), are applicable to India.
