Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Act 1903.

1. Amendment
1.1 The Defence (Prohibited Words and Letters) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.
2. Regulation 5 (Offences)
2.1 Omit the regulation, substitute:

Delegation

"5. The Minister may, by instrument, delegate to an officer of the Defence Force who holds a rank not below that of Colonel, or an equivalent rank, his or her powers under regulations 3 and 4.

Offences

"6. A person must not knowingly use a word, words or a group of letters in contravention of regulation 2.

Penalty: $500.".

3. Schedule (Prohibited words and groups of letters)
3.1 Omit the Schedule, substitute:
