Details Details Year of Version 1997 Dates Entry into force: July 28, 1997 Adopted: January 1, 1997 Type of Text Main IP Laws Subject Matter Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights) Notes The amendment replaces the word "Collector" with the words "Chief Executive" in sections 137-139 of the Copyright Act in order to align the terminology with that contained in the Customs Act 1996.

An Act to amend the Copyright Act 1994

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:

1 Short Title This Act may be cited as the Copyright Amendment Act 1997, and is part of the Copyright Act 1994 (“the principal Act”).

2 New sections substituted This section substituted ss 137 and 138 of the principal Act.

3 Notice of determination This section substituted s 139(1) of the principal Act.
