Details Details Year of Version 2000 Dates Adopted: March 6, 2000 Type of Text Implementing Rules/Regulations Subject Matter Trademarks Notes The notification by New Zealand to the WTO under article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'This Order brought into force sections 3, 4 and 8 of the Trade Marks Amendment Act 1999 on 1 April 2000. Sections 3 and 4 of the Trade Marks Amendment Act 1999 amend the Trade Marks Act 1953 to provide for the registration and protection of collective trade marks. Section 8 of the Trade Marks Amendment Act 1999 makes consequential amendments to the Fair Trading Act 1986.'

2 Commencement of sections 3, 4, and 8 of Trade Marks Amendment Act 1999

Sections 3, 4, and 8 of the Trade Marks Amendment Act 1999 come into force on 1 April 2000.
