Details Details Year of Version 2003 Dates Signature: January 22, 2003 Type of Text Main IP Laws Subject Matter Patents (Inventions), Utility Models, Industrial Designs Subject Matter (secondary) IP Regulatory Body Notes The Law on Patents (9 chapters & 137 articles) has provided a set of exclusive rights to an inventor or his assignee for a fixed period of time in exchange for disclosure of an invention, utility model or industrial design. It ensures Intellectual Property Right Enforcement mechanism which follows the principles of TRIPS to meet with its commitment during WTO accession.
Civil IP Rights Enforcement and Criminal IP Rights Enforcement can be conducted based on the provisions of Patent Law, one of the three principal IP Laws- Trademark law, Patent law and Copyright law.

Chapter 8, Article 126 (Civil Enforcement of IP Rights, Injunction-Preliminary and Final).

The Administrative Enforcement of IP rights is entrusted to Patent Office which has been clearly defined by Law on Patent, Utility Model Certificates and Industrial Design regarding to the responsibility to enforce IP rights through the duty of its enforcement unit.
