ATO NORMATIVO Nº 117/93

Assunto: Institui o uso do dígito verificador na numeração dos processos de patente.

O PRESIDENTE DO INPI, no uso de suas atribuições,

CONSIDERANDO que com a informatização dos procedimentos administrativos do INPI se faz necessária a implantação de meios que permitam verificar a correção do número dos processos de patentes quando de sua digitação,

RESOLVE:
  1. A partir de 01 de janeiro de 1994, a referência aos pedidos de patentes e as patentes será feita pelo número acrescido de um dígito verificador, que será informado previamente aos interessados.
  2. O dígito verificador será constituído por um único algarismo, separado por hífen do número do processo e calculado através do seguinte algorítmo:

NoPat <exp C>----> é uma expressão do tipo caracter de 7 dígitos numéricos
DV <exp C>----> é uma expressão do tipo caracter de 1 dígito numérico
