The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the deposit by the Government of the Kingdom of Swaziland, on September 14, 1998, of its instrument of accession to the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works of September 9, 1886, as revised at Paris on July 24, 1971, and amended on September 28, 1979.
The Berne Convention as revised will enter into force, with respect to the Kingdom of Swaziland, on December 14, 1998. On that date, the Kingdom of Swaziland will also become a member of the International Union for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works ("Berne Union"), founded by the Berne Convention.
