The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify the receipt, on January 7, 2013, of a communication dated January 3, 2013, from the Government of the Republic of Italy regarding a change in the schedule of fees charged by the Advanced Biotechnology Center (ABC), an international depositary authority under the Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure, done at Budapest on April 28, 1977, and amended on September 26, 1980 (see Budapest Notification No. 144 of February 14, 1996).
According to Rule 12.2(c) of the Regulations under the Budapest Treaty, the new fee for the issuance of a viability statement set forth in the said communication shall take effect on March 6, 2013, that is, on the thirtieth day following the publication of the change by the International Bureau.
The new fee schedule of the said international depositary authority is as follows:

The fees, with the addition of the Value Added Tax where relevant, are payable to the Centro di Biotecnologie Avanzate (Cassa di Risparmio di Genova e Imperia, n. 49, c/c 21624/20, cod. ABI 6175, cab 1594).
