The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the deposit by the Government of the Republic of the Niger, on August 20, 2004, of its instrument of accession to the Hague Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Industrial Designs of November 6, 1925, as revised at The Hague on November 28, 1960 ("the Hague Act (1960)"), and supplemented at Stockholm on July 14, 1967 ("Stockholm (Complementary) Act (1967)"), and as amended on September 28, 1979.
The Hague Act (1960) will enter into force, in respect of the Republic of the Niger, on September 20, 2004. On that same date, the Republic of the Niger will become bound by Articles 1 to 7 of the Stockholm (Complementary) Act (1967) and will become a member of the Hague Union.
