The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments and has the honor to refer to the deposit by the Government of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, on September 28, 2018, of its instrument of accession to the Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement on Appellations of Origin and Geographical Indications (Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement), adopted at Geneva on May 20, 2015. (See Lisbon Notification No. 36, dated September 28, 2018, for ease of reference.)
In this respect, the Director General of WIPO has the honor to notify that the Government of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire has deposited, on February 12, 2025, the following declaration:
- In accordance with Article 7(4) of the Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement, the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire declares that the protection resulting from international registration shall extend to the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire only if an individual fee is paid to cover its cost of the substantive examination of the international registration.
The declaration will enter into force, with respect to the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, on May 12, 2025.
