The Director of the United International Bureaux for the Protection of Intellectual Property (BIRPI) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and, in accordance with the provisions of the above international instrument adopted at Stockholm, has the honor to notify him that the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany deposited, on June 19, 1970, its instrument of ratification dated June 12, 1970, of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property of March 20, 1883, as revised at Stockholm on July 14, 1967.
The said instrument of ratification was accompanied by the following declaration: "the said Convention shall also apply to Land Berlin with effect from the date on which it enters into force for the Federal Republic of Germany." (Originan( �/p>
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 20(2)(c) and (3), the Stockholm Act of the said Convention will enter into force, with respect to the Federal Republic of Germany, three months after the date of this notification, that is, on September 19, 1970.
