The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the deposit by the Government of the Republic of Finland, on July 1, 1980, of its instrument of ratification of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) done at Washington on June 19, 1970.
The said instrument contains the following reservation:
"Finland enters a reservation pursuant to Article 64(2)(a)(ii) to the effect that the obligation to delay national processing, as provided for under Article 40, shall not prevent publication, by or through its national Office, of the international application or a translation thereof, it being understood, however, that it is not exempted from the limitations provided for in Articles 30 and 38."
The said Treaty will enter into force, with respect to the Republic of Finland, three months after the date on which it deposited its instrument of ratification, that is, on October 1, 1980.
