Ratification of the Geneva Act (1999) was accompanied by the following declarations: - in accordance with Rule 18(1)(b) of the Regulations under the Geneva Act, the prescribed period of six months for the notification of refusal of the effects of an international registration shall be replaced by a period of 12 months; - under Rule 18(1)(c)(i) of the Regulations under the said Act, the international registration shall produce the effect referred to in Article 14(2)(a) of the Geneva Act at the latest six months after the date referred to in that Article. Spain notified acceptance for the termination of the Additional Act of Monaco (1961), on September 18, 2012. The termination of the Additional Act of Monaco became effective on October 18, 2016.
Spain notified acceptance of the termination of the London Act (1934), on September 18, 2012. The termination of the London Act became effective on October 18, 2016, three months after the Director General of WIPO received the last required notification of acceptance.
