Geneva Act (1977): Ratification by the Soviet Union was accompanied by the following declaration: "The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics considers it necessary to declare that the provisions of Article 13 of the Agreement providing for a possibility of its application to colonies and dependent territories is in contradiction with Resolution of the General Assembly of the United Nations 1514 (XV) of December 14, 1960." Stockholm Act (1967): Accession by the Soviet Union was accompanied by the following declaration: "While acceding to the Nice Agreement the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics considers it necessary to declare that the provisions of Article 14 of the Agreement providing for a possibility of its application to colonies and dependent territories is in contradiction with Resolution of the General Assembly of the United Nations 1514 (XV) of December 14, 1960."
