PATENTS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2010
ACT No. IX OF 2010
An Act further to amend the Patents Ordinance, 2000.
Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Patents Ordinance, 2000 (LXI of 2000);
It is hereby enacted as follows: ___
1. Short title and commencement. ___ (1) This Act may be called the Patents (Amendment) Act, 2010.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of section 16, Ordinance LXI of 2000. ___In the Patents Ordinance, 2000 (XI of 2000), hereinafter referred to as the said Ordinance, in section 16, ___
(a) in subsection (2), the comma and words ", but before' the period of eighteen months from the date of filing of application in Pakistan" shall be omitted and shall be deemed always to have been so omitted; and
(b) sub-section (6) shall be omitted.
3. Omission of section 19, Ordinance LXI of 2000. ___In the said Ordinance, section 19 shall be omitted.
