The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and, in accordance with the provisions of the Paris Act (1971) of the above Convention, has the honor to notify him that the Government of the French Republic deposited on September 11, 1972, its instrument of ratification dated August 23, 1972, of the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works of September 9, 1886, as revised at Paris on July 24, 1971.
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 28(3) of the Paris Act (1971) of the said Convention, Articles 22 to 38 will enter into force, with respect to the French Republic, three months after the date of this notification, that is, on December 15, 1972.
A separate notification will be made on the entry into force of Articles 1 to 21 and the Appendix, when the conditions provided for in Article 28(2)(a) are fulfilled.
