The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and, in accordance with the provisions of the above international instrument adopted at Stockholm, has the honor to notify him that the Government of the Republic of Uganda deposited, on July 18, 1973, its instrument of accession, dated May 8, 1973, to the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property of March 20, 1883, as revised at Stockholm on July 14, 1967.
Concurrently with depositing the said instrument of accession, the Republic of Uganda indicated, pursuant to Article 16(4)(b), that it wished to belong to Class VII.
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 20(2)(c) and (3), the Stockholm Act of the said Convention will enter into force, with respect to the Republic of Uganda, three months after the date of this notification, that is, on October 20, 1973.
