The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the deposit by the Government of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, on December 7, 1976, of its instrument of accession to the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property of March 20, 1883, as revised at Stockholm on July 14, 1967, with a declaration to the effect that its accession shall not apply to Articles 1 to 12.
Concurrently with depositing the said instrument of accession, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas indicated that it wished to belong to Class VII for the purpose of establishing its contribution towards the budget of the Paris Union.
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 20(2)(c) and (3), the said Stockholm Act (1967), with the exception of Articles 1 to 12, will enter into force, with respect to the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, three months after the date of this notification, that is, on March 10, 1977.
