The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the deposit by the Government of the Republic of Poland, on May 1, 1990, of its instrument of accession to the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works of September 9, 1886, as, revised at Paris on July 24, 971, and amended on October 2, 1979, with the declaration provided for in Article 28(1)(b) of the Paris Act (1971) to the effect that its accession shall not apply to Articles 1 to 21 and the Appendix.
The Paris Act (1971), as amended on October 2, 1979, of the said Convention, with the exception of Articles 1 to 21, will enter into force, with respect to the Republic of Poland, three months after the date of this notification, that is on August 4, 1990.
