The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and, in accordance with the provisions of the above Convention, has the honor to notify him that the Government of the United Arab Emirates deposited, on June 24, 1974, its instrument of accession to the Convention Establishing the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
The United Arab Emirates, which is a member of the United Nations, has fulfilled the conditions set forth in Article 5(2)(i) of the said Convention.
Pursuant to Article 11(4)(b) of the said Convention, the United Arab Emirates has expressed the wish to belong to Class B.
Pursuant to Article 15(2), the Convention Establishing the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) will enter into force, in respect to the United Arab Emirates, three months after the date of deposit of the instrument of accession, that is, on September 24, 1974.
