The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him that, by the date until which it was open for signature (that is, July 2, 2000), the following States had signed the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Industrial Designs, adopted at Geneva on July 2, 1999 (the "Geneva Act"):
- Algeria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Chad, Croatia, Cuba, Denmark, Estonia, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Portugal, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russian Federation, Slovenia, Spain, Sudan, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States of America, on July 6, 1999;
- Côte d'Ivoire, on December 17, 1999; Germany, on June 29, 2000; Ireland, on June 30, 2000; Monaco, on June 28, 2000; Turkey, on February 4, 2000.

Any of the above-listed States may become a party to the Geneva Act by depositing an instrument of ratification. Any State member of WIPO which has not signed it and any intergovernmental organization fulfilling the conditions stated in Article 27(1)(ii) of the Geneva Act may become a party to it by depositing an instrument of accession.
Instruments of ratification or accession must be deposited with the Director General of WIPO. The Geneva Act shall enter into force three months after six States have deposited instruments of ratification or accession with the Director General of WIPO in conformity with Article 28(1) and (2) of the Geneva Act.
