The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and, in accordance with the provisions of the Locarno Agreement Establishing an International Classification for Industrial Designs, signed at Locarno on October 8, 1968, has the honor to notify him that the Government of the French Republic deposited on June 11, 1975, its instrument of ratification of the said Agreement.
Furthermore, this instrument of ratification contains the following declaration:
"The Government of the French Republic, referring to Article 13 of the said Agreement, declares that this Agreement shall be applicable to the territory of the French Republic in Europe, to the departments of Guyane, Guadeloupe, Martinique and Reunion, and to the overseas territories of New Caledonia, French Polynesia, St. Pierre and Miquelon, Wallis and Futuna Islands and the French Southern and Antarctic Territories." Pursuant to the provisions of Article 9(3)(b), the said Agreement will enter into force, with respect to the French Republic, three months after the date of this notification, that is, on September 13, 1975.
