The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the deposit by the Government of the Republic of Guyana, on July 25, 1994, of its instrument of accession to the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property of March 20, 1883, as revised at Stockholm on July 14, 1967, and amended on September 28, 1979.
The Republic of Guyana has not heretofore been a member of the International Union for the Protection of Industrial Property ("Paris Union"), founded by the Paris Convention.
The Paris Convention as revised will enter into force, with respect to the Republic of Guyana, on October 25, 1994. On that date, the Republic of Guyana will become a member of the Paris Union.
The Republic of Guyana belongs to Class Sbis for the purpose of establishing its contribution to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
