The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him of the deposit by the Government of the Republic of Malta, on September 7, 1977, of its instrument of accession to the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property of March 20, 1883, as revised at Stockholm on July 14, 1967, with a declaration to the effect that its accession shall not apply to Articles 1 to 12.
Furthermore, the said instrument of accession contains the declaration that, pursuant to Article 28(2) of the Stockholm Act (1967) of the said Convention, Article 28(1) shall not apply to the Republic of Malta.
The Republic of Malta will belong to Class VII for the purpose of establishing its contribution towards the budget of the Paris Union.
The Stockholm Act (1967) of the said Convention, with the exception of Articles 1 to 12, will enter into force, with respect to the Republic of Malta, three months after the date of this notification, that is, on December 12, 1977.
