ON AMENDMENTS OF LAW No. 8488 DATE 13.05.1999 “ON THE
PROTECTION OF TOPOGRAPHIES OF INTEGRATED CIRCUITS”
In reliance on article 78 and 83 (1) of the Constitution, on the proposal of the Council of
Ministers,
THE ASSEMBLY
OF THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA
DECIDED
The Law No. 8488 date 13.05.1999 “On the Protection of topographies of
integrated circuits” shall be amended as below:
Article 1
The appellation “Directorate of Patents and Trademarks” wherever is used in the
law, shall be replaced with “General Directorate of Patents and Trademarks”
Article 2
In article 6 of the law “Board of apeal” shall be replaced with “Bord of apealing”
Article 3
Article 18 shall be amended as below:
The provisions of representation of foreigners, invalidity of unpublished
publications, receipt of application, data entry and changes in the register, invalidation of
rights, time limits for infringement action, measures against infringement of rights,
transfer of rights, license and all the procedural rules provided for in Law No 9947 date
07.07.2008 “On Industrial Property” shall apply on this law as well.
Article 4
This law shall enter into force 3 months after its publication in the Official Gazette.

TOPOGRAFISË SË QARQEVE TË INTEGRUARA"
Në mbështetje të neneve 78 dhe 83 pika 1 të Kushtetutës, me propozimin e Këshillit të Ministrave,
KUVENDI
I REPUBLIKËS SË SHQIPËRISË
VENDOSI:
Në ligjin nr.8488, datë 13.5.1999 "Për mbrojtjen e topografisë së qarqeve të integruara", bëhen këto ndryshime:
Neni 1
Kudo në ligj, emërtimi "Drejtoria e Patentave dhe Markave" zëvendë sohet me emërtimin "Drejtoria e Përgjithshme e Patentave dhe Markave".
Neni 2
Në nenin 6, fjalët "pranë bordit të apelit" zëvendësohen me fjalët "pranë bordit të apelimit".
Neni 3
Neni 18 ndryshohet si më poshtë :

Dispozitat e përfaqësimit të të huajve, pavlefshmëria e aplikimeve të publikuara, pranimi i aplikimit, data e hyrjes dhe ndryshimet në regjistër, pavlefshmëria e të drejtave, afatet kohore të shkeljes së të drejtave, masat kundër shkeljeve të të drejtave, transferimi i të drejtave, licencat, si dhe çdo rregull tjetër procedural, i parashikuar në ligjin nr.9947, datë 7.7.2008 "Për pronësinë industriale", rregullohen dhe janë të vlefshme edhe për këtë ligj.".
Neni 4
Ky ligj hyn në fuqi 3 muaj pas botimit në Fletoren Zyrtare.
