Details Details Year of Version 2010 Dates Entry into force: June 1, 2005 Enacted: June 1, 2005 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Other Notes This consolidated version of the Consumer Protection Act, 2005 incorporates amendments introduced by the Consumer Protection (Amendment) Act 2006 (Act No. 15 of 2006). Section 38 of the said amending Act No. 15 of 2006 amended section 6 under Part II of this consolidated version (relating to the functions of the Consumer Affairs Commission). The reprint of this consolidated version was authorized by L.N 180A/2006 (Legal Notification No. 180A/2006) and by L.N. 11/2010 (Legal Notification No. 11/2010).
