Present,
The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, by virtue of the authority conferred upon Her by section 168(2) of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 19881 , is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Copyright (International Organisations) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 1st August 1989.
2. It is hereby declared to be expedient that section 168 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (copyright vesting in certain international organisations) should apply to the United Nations, the Specialised Agencies of the United Nations and the Organisation of American States.

1. La présente ordonnance peut être citée comme l’ordonnance de 1989 sur le droit

d’auteur (organisations internationales) et entre en vigueur le 1 er

août 1989.

2. Il est déclaré souhaitable, aux termes des présentes dispositions, que l’article 168

de la loi de 1988 sur le droit d’auteur, les dessins et modèles et les brevets (droit d’auteur

reconnu à certaines organisations internationales) s’applique à l’Organisation des Nations

Unies, à ses institutions spécialisées et à l’Organisation des Etats américains.

La présente ordonnance confère une protection au titre du droit d’auteur aux

oeuvres de l’Organisation des Nations Unies, de ses institutions spécialisées ou de
