Details Details Year of Version 2021 Dates Amended up to: January 20, 2021 Entry into force: August 1, 1995 Published: April 28, 1995 Adopted: March 21, 1995 Type of Text Framework Laws Subject Matter Enforcement of IP and Related Laws Notes This consolidated version of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Republic of Albania (approved by Law No. 7905 of March 21, 1995) takes into account amendments up to Law No. 147/2020 of December 17, 2020, which was published in the Official Gazette on January 13, 2021, and entered into force on January 29, 2021. Among other provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedures, Article 207 foresees the seizure of the objects found during the inspection of someone who is hiding real evidence of criminal offence. Article 274 of the Code states that when there is a danger that free possession of an object related to the criminal offence may aggravate or prolong its consequences or facilitate the commission of other criminal offences, the competent court, on demand of the prosecutor, orders its attachment by reasoned decision.
