Details Details Year of Version 2023 Dates Published: December 30, 2023 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Patents (Inventions) Notes The Veterinary Medicinal Products Act (TAMG) amends several existing laws, including the Medicines Act, the Health and Food Safety Act (GESG), the Food Safety and Consumer Protection Act (LMSVG), the Veterinarians Act, the Medicinal Goods Import Act 2005, the Biocidal Products Act, the Chemicals Act 1996 (ChemG 1996), the Patent Act 1970, the Pharmacy Act, the Animal Welfare Act (TSchG), the Veterinary Chamber Act (TÄKamG), the Prescription Law, and the Pharmacopoeia Act 2012. Article 9 of the Veterinary Medicinal Products Act adds paragraph 6 to Section 180b and amends paragraph 2 of Section 181a to align with Article 41 of Regulation (EU) 2019/6 of the European Parliament and of the Council of December 11, 2018, on veterinary medicinal products, which repeals Directive 2001/82/EC. These amendments came into force on January 1, 2024.
