Details Details Year of Version 1973 Dates Promulgated: March 15, 1973 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights) Subject Matter (secondary) Enforcement of IP and Related Laws Notes The Law of the Flag of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (“the Law”) contains two parts and 22 articles.
The first Part (Articles 1&2) is on the description of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia flag and the King’s flag; The Second part (Articles 3-22) on the protocol relating to the raising of the flag, the prohibited usages of the national flag and the penalties.

The Law provides for the prohibition of the usage of the national flag as a trademark, or for advertisement or any other prohibited usage (Article 15). It states that the offenders may be subject to imprisonment for a period not exceeding one year and a fine up to SR 3000 or both (Article 20).
