The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify him that the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, referring to the deposit of its instrument of ratification, on October 9, 1974, of the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works of September 9, 1886, as revised at Paris on July 24, 1971 ("Paris Act (1971)"), with the declaration that its ratification thereof does not apply to Articles 1 to 21 and the Appendix of the Paris Act (1971) (see Berne Notification No. 60), deposited on October 24, 1985, a declaration extending, for the Kingdom in Europe, the effects of its ratification to the said Articles and the Appendix.
Articles 1 to 21 and the Appendix of the Paris Act (1971) will enter into force with respect to the Kingdom of the Netherlands (in Europe) three months after the date of this notification, that is on January 30, 1986.
